This match was drawn with Wiltshire winning on first innings after enforcing the follow-on. Less than two hours of cricket were possible on the second day, play being stopped shortly after 1.00 pm when a storm broke. The game was formally abandoned at 4.20 pm. On the first day, Wiltshire built themselves a strong position with the score 1t 250 for the loss of five wickets. Meads was then responsible for causing a collapse with 4 wickets falling at that total and only four more runs were added by the last wicket pair. For the visitors, there were 11 fours and 7 threes in Newman's 101. Perkins's 66 contained 1 five and 7 fours. For Surrey 2nd XI, Bowring top scored with 58. During the match 16 players bowled, nine in the Wiltshire innings and seven in the two Surrey innings.
