Wiltshire won by six wickets at 5.10 pm on the second day. For the winners, there were 2 sixes and 9 fours in Stevens's 82 not out. For the visitors, Baker carried his bat through the Surrey 2nd XI innings for 55 not out, including 10 fours. It was the fifth time this feat was achieved during the season. Goatly's 57 contained 7 fours. In the Surrey second innings Baker and W C Smith put on 62 runs for the ninth wicket.
