Biography:Styled as Lord John Montagu-Douglas-Scott from 1884 to 1886, then Earl of Dalkeith until November 1914, when he succeeded his father as 7th Duke of Buccleuch and 9th Duke of Queensberry. MP for Roxburghshire 1895-1906. Appointed KT 1917. MCC President 1913-14.
