The details in the following list are based on the best information currently available, but - especially, though certainly not exclusively, in the cases of cricketers or officials from the 18th and earlier 19th centuries, and those from Pakistan and Bangladesh - they should be treated with appropriate caution. Where only a year of birth is known, the stated age is based on an assumed birthdate of 1 January, or (where known) the date of the player's or official's christening.
