Dorset won this return match by 74 runs with 15 minutes to spare at 6.15 pm on the second day. The match between the two sides at Poole in July had been won by Buckinghamshire. For the winners there were 22 fours in Williams's 163, an innings of
just over 3 hours and Arundell scored 55. For the losers, Wilson took 15 wickets in the match for 191 runs, including 8 for 109 in the first innings, and 7 for 82 in the second. Weaver Adams scored 59, Leat 57 and Wright 56. The fall of wickets in the Buckinghamshire second innings do not agree with the batting order.
