This return match was drawn with Cambridgeshire gaining a lead on first innings of 2 runs. The match at Poole between the two sides had also been drawn. Rain delayed the start on the first day until 1.45 pm and two further rain interruptions limited the duration of play to 4 hours. For the home team, there were 5 fours in Coulson's 85, and 9 fours in Brigg's 78. For the visitors, Hunt's 78 contained 1 five and 7 fours
and Budge's 63 included 5 fours. In the Dorset innings, the ninth wicket fell at 268 , but Huyshe and Harrison added 54
for the tenth wicket and fell just 3 runs short of obtaining first innings lead. Earlier Zealley and Hunt had put on 94 runs for the seventh wicket.
