Yorkshire 2nd XI won by an innings and 38 runs at 4.45 pm on the second day. For the winners, Deyes took 10 wickets in the match for 75 runs. Leather's 91 included 11 fours, scored in 125 minutes, and Farrar's 72 contained 8 fours, an innings of 2 hours and 50 minutes. In the Yorkshire 2nd XI innings Leather and H Wilkinson put on 133 runs for the first wicket in an hour and three-quarters. R W Frank was unable to play for Yorkshire because of the death of a relative and H Wilkinson captained the team.
