This match, which was played in fine weather throughout, was drawn with Surrey 2nd XI winning on first innings. The Surrey declaration left Glamorgan a victory target of 255 runs. For Surrey 2nd XI, five batsmen made scores of over fifty with Davis 78 with 1 five and 11 fours scored in 65 minutes, Holland 69 with 10 fours, Garrett 56 with 5 fours, Moulder 54 not out and Bates 52 not out. In the Surrey first innings Davis and Graburn added 68 runs for the seventh wicket, and in the second innings Moulder and Bates had an unbroken stand of 89 runs for the eighth wicket. For the visitors, Morgan scored 50. Creber took 9 wickets in the match for 213 runs. In the Glamorgan second innings, J H Brain had a badly injured a finger which was to prevent him playing for Glamorgan again until the middle of August. Creber's 47 overs in an innings, 84 overs in the match, and 213 runs conceded in the game were all the highest during the season, the last two being new championship records.
