Surrey 2nd XI won this return game by 5 wickets shortly before 5.00 pm on the second day, having enforced the follow on. The rain-affected match between the two sides at The Oval in June had been drawn. For the winners, there were 8 fours in Gooder's 92 not out, 9 fours in Holland's 80 and 7 fours in Wiltshire's 52. In the Surrey first innings, Gooder and Smith added 50 runs for the eighth wicket and Gooder and Strudwick 63 for the tenth. For Yorkshire 2nd XI, Swalwell scored 100, including 14 fours, 2 threes and 8 twos, an innings of two hours. Outram's 52, scored in 2 and a quarter hours, contained 5 fours.
