Glamorgan completed their convincing win at 4.20 pm on the second day, after Surrey had followed on 152 runs behind on first innings. For the visitors, there were 2 fives and 10 fours in J H Brain's 88, and 1 five and 10 fours in R Lowe's 80. Bancroft scored
65 and Morgan 54. The 63 overs bowled by Creber was the third highest number in a match during the season, and the 183 runs he conceded were the joint highest for the year. For Surrey 2nd XI, Parkes scored 64, Stoner 63 and Walker 51 not out. In the Glamorgan innings when he had scored 83, J H Brain reached the career milestone of one thousand runs in championship matches.
