Lancashire 2nd XI won this return match by 3 wickets on the second day. The match between the two sides at Jesmond in June had also been won by Lancashire 2nd XI. The home side needed 123 runs to win in their second innings. For the winners, Heap took 11 wickets in the match for 91 runs, and Rowlands the other nine for 72. For Northumberland, Milne played the highest innings of the match with 43. In the Northumberland first innings, Ullathorne and Milne added 56 for the seventh wicket.
