AC Moller hit seven fours and held the North Queensland Colts innings together, being fifth out at 121. Peever was dismissed before the lead had been achieved and Leather left quickly on the second day. McCulloch and Keding, who hit ten fours then engaged in a fine partnership of 80 for the eighth wicket, giving North Queensland Colts a good lead.
