Notes
--> RA Veck and J Aylward added 57 runs for the 3rd wicket in the Hampshire second innings
--> Baker made his debut in First-Class matches
--> Pemmell made his debut in First-Class matches
--> Baker made his last appearance in First-Class matches
--> S Colchin (1) passed his previous highest score of 25 in First-Class matches
--> RA Veck (2) passed his previous highest score of 54 in First-Class matches
--> W Bedster (2) passed his previous highest score of 19 in First-Class matches
--> E Stevens achieved his best innings bowling analysis in First-Class matches in the Hampshire first innings (previous best was 5-?)
--> E Stevens reached 100 wickets in First-Class matches when taking his 1st wicket in the Hampshire second innings

Again, the Dorset papers supply additional information, assigning blame for two run-outs (Colchin (1), his fault; Stevens (1), Pemmell's fault) and telling us that Baker (1) did not face a ball, and Yalden (1) was out first ball. Second-innings orders are not known, but Veck and Aylward shared a 3rd-wicket partnership of 57 in Hampshire (2), and Tankerville and Miller opened in England (2). The England no 8 is also spelt Pemell and Pennell but Pemmell seems to be the most frequent version. This is the final 'great' match played at this historic ground, although it remains in existence and is still used for cricket.
