Bill Slater

Died:18th December 2018, Oxfordshire, England
Other Sports:Soccer for Blackpool, Brentford (two spells), Wolverhampton Wanderers and England (12 Caps). Also an England Amateur International (20 Caps). Played in the FA Cup Finals of 1951 (Blackpool) and 1960 (Wolverhampton Wanderers). Played for Great Britain at the 1952 Olympic Games in Finland, and for the full England team at the 1958 World Cup in Sweden. Believed to have been the only Englishman to have done so. Played as an amateur for much of his career.
