In and out of the New Zealand team mainly due to injuries, Kyle Mills is a penetrative right arm medium pace bowler who can contribute his mite with the bat in ODIs. He made his international debut in the limited overs game against Pakistan at Sharjah in 2001 and made the squad for the 2003 World Cup in South Africa. Injuries again ruled him out for sometime but he made the tour of England in 2004 and played his first Test at Nottingham. However Mills suffered an injury during the match and had to fly home, missing the NatWest series. A hard working bowler Mills has recently been comparatively injury free and has picked up wickets regularly in ODIs besides being occasionally a part of the Test squad.
