Mumbai, July 13 : Sri Lanka's 33-year-old pace bowler Dhammika Prasad is "most likely" to be fit to play the home series against Australia, according to one of the medical panel members.

Speaking exclusively over his mobile from Colombo on Tuesday, he said, "Dammika Prasad is being looked after by physio and progressing well. He is "most likely to be available" for the selection. It will be up to the selectors to pick him".

In May this year, the right-hand fast bowler had to return home from England tour without playing any of the Test matches because of the shoulder injury.

"The first Test against Australia is still two weeks away (July 26-30, Pallekele and we are hopeful of his recovery", the source added.

The other two injured fast bowlers are however unlikely to be fit for the series against visiting Australian team.

"The 25-year-old Dushmantha Chameera and 33-year-old Lasith Malinga are certainly out for the home series", the source further added.

Chameera has been undergoing treatment for the back injury (stress fracture) and Malinga is not yet recovered from his ankle problem. "Both need rest", the source added.

Shaminda Eranga is believed to have been fully recovered from his elevated hear-beat problems but is being suspended for his bowling action.

The medical person was non-committal about Jeffrey Vandersay's chances to play against Australia.

"He is still being monitored for his broken finger injury". He broke the bone of his third right finger and it had to be operated and fixed.
