Led by Yusuf Pathan's blistering unbeaten 210 West Zone completed the highest successful run chase in first-class cricket history, reaching 541-7 to win the premier domestic tournament in Hyderabad. The total surpassed the previous world record of 513-9 by Sri Lanka's Central Province against South Province in Kandy during the 2003-04 season.

West Zone defeated South Zone by three wickets in the five-day Duleep Trophy final.
Pathan, 27, who has played 30 one-day internationals and 11 Twenty20 matches for India, plundered 19 boundaries and 10 sixes during his match-winning knock after making 108 in the first innings.
It marked a stunning comeback for West Zone, who had conceded a 149-run first innings lead to South Zone in the inter-zonal final.
