Andrew Strauss and Joe Denly made a short work of the target of 255 set by the Warriors as the two eased England to a comfortable eight wicket win. The opening pair added 175 runs and just when a century was in sight for Denly, he threw his wicket away with a reckless shot. Strauss meanwhile did not lose the opportunity to make a century and work himself into some good form.

Warriors had won the toss and elected to bat first. Bresnan and Anderson could not find an early breakthrough as Kreusch and Jeggels added 60 for the first wicket. Finally Kreusch was stumped by Rashid and the English spinners made scoring harder for the batsmen. Swann took a return catch to remove Jeggels while Matt Prior collected his second stumping. Arno Jacobs and Davey Jacobs 130 for the fourth wicket to steady the innings. The pair got to their individual fifties and it looked like the pair might help their team out a target well beyond the English side. But once Davey Jacobs fell the innings lost steam.

England in return got off to a solid start as Strauss and Denly put on a huge 175 for the first wicket. Denly managed two sixes and Strauss also cleared the ropes as the pair found the boundaries on regular occasions. The Warriors' bowlers failed to create any sort of impression on the two English batsmen as they helped the English side register another win on the tour.
