Jerome Taylor is one of the few new fast bowlers for West Indies who shows great heart and skill when the proceedings begins to get tough. On his day, Taylor can be quick, accurate and hostile as the Australians found out in the Champions Trophy in 2006 when he winked out three wickets to claim a hat trick. He along with Fidel Edwards is the leader of the pack and he is key bowler in Gayle's armoury.

His best efforts till date in ODIs came against Australia in the Champions Trophy and then in Jamaica he bowled West Indies to a memorable win over England as he took five invaluable wickets to send England crashing and help West Indies register a memorable series win over the much fancied English team in Wisden Trophy 2009.
