Player: | PM Siddle |
One of the most promising young fast bowlers in Australia, Peter Siddle was one of the positive factors to emerge from the disastrous tour to India by Australia in 2008. He was taken as an understudy but an injury to Stuart Clarke opened the door for him. Though he did mot make an earth-shattering contribution to the teams cause he was steady and also threatening, bowling his heart out on pitches that did not show mercy to his tribe. His growth as a bowler continued when he faced South Africa in Australia and made his impact in the final Test when he claimed his maiden five-fer. In the return series in South Africa he again bowled his heart out and was one of the factors which played the part in securing the Test series.
