Christened at Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire, 4th June 1833.
Died at Uckfield, Sussex, 14th October 1917.
Aged 48 and the vicar of Danehill, near Haywards Heath, Sussex, when he was selected for Lord Sheffield’s Eleven in 1881. It was his only first-class match.
At the time of the 1881 Census he was living at The Vicarage, Fletching, Sussex, aged 47, the vicar of Danehill, with his wife Marian B., aged 32, born in East Sutton, Kent. They have four daughters, Catherine M. aged 7, Mariam L. aged 5, Henrietta A.M. aged 3, and Winifred M.H. aged 2, and a son as yet un-named aged less than a month. They had four domestic servants.
