Brief profile of Simon Daniels
by Dr.A.K.Hignell
Simon Daniels joined the Glamorgan staff in 1981 as a brisk seam bowler and a forthright lower order batsman. Indeed, it was his batting abilities that helped Daniels carve a name for himself in Glamorgan`s record books in 1982 as he added a record 143 for the tenth wicket with wicket-keeper Terry Davies against Gloucestershire at Swansea. Daniels` share was a career best 73.

Educated at Sedburgh and Newcastle Polytechnic, he played Minor County cricket for Durham in 1979 and 1980.
