Arthur Thomas was a stalwart of the Briton Ferry Town club either side of the Great War.
The right-handed batsman made his county debut as an 18 year old playing against Surrey 2nd XI at The Oval in 1913. He was not called up again until 1925 when he played in Glamorgan`s Championship match against Northamptonshire at Swansea. Despite success in club cricket, this proved to be his only first-class appearance.
